The Counterpoint Tactical High Yield Strategy Now Available on MWP

San Diego, California – April 15, 2024 – Counterpoint Funds, a quantitative mutual fund and ETF provider specializing in defensive diversifier strategies, today announced the availability of the Counterpoint Tactical High Yield Strategy on the Model Wealth Portfolios (MWP) platform at LPL Financial.

“The Counterpoint Tactical High Yield Strategy is a great addition to the MWP platform, offering LPL advisors a systematic, defensive fixed income diversifier strategy designed to deliver superior risk-adjusted returns for client portfolios while managing downside risk,” said Michael Taylor, Director of Institutional Partnerships at Counterpoint Funds.

Developed by the investment team at Counterpoint Funds, the Counterpoint Tactical High Yield Strategy, launched April 30, 2014, seeks income and capital preservation by providing high-yield-like returns during stable or recovering market environments, switching exposure to treasuries and cash equivalents during periods of market stress.

“The SMA has shown strong resilience in today’s rising rate environment and has continued to perform well against its benchmark,” added Mr. Taylor. “The strategy’s historically low correlation to traditional bonds can make it a great fixed income diversifier for client portfolios at LPL Financial.”
